SAFE™ Training Founder, Facilitator & Instructor

Lisa Kaszubski is a seasoned leader, educator, and facilitator with more than 20 years of experience designing programs that close learning gaps and deliver measurable results. For the entirety of her career, Lisa has worked in hospitality and customer service centered industries, giving her a deep understanding of how to balance client care with organizational safety. As a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and Master Certified Professional Coach, she has built a career creating experiences that are both practical and empowering, helping individuals and organizations perform at their highest potential.

As the lead facilitator for SAFE™ Training, Lisa approaches safety from a service mindset, honoring the importance of customer experience while equipping professionals with the tools to recognize risk, respond with confidence, and embrace their own personal power. Her training blends situational awareness, informed decision-making, and empowerment strategies to cultivate safety, resilience, and trust across industries.

With an athletic background that includes a focus on boxing and physical fitness, and current training in Kenpo, Lisa brings positive energy, relatability, and a strong focus on personal growth to every session. She ensures SAFE™ participants leave with not only knowledge but also the confidence to apply it in real-world situations.

Sergeant Robert Ballas

SAFE™ Training Instructor & Defense Specialist

Sergeant Ballas brings over 18 years of law enforcement and instructional experience to the SAFE™ Training program, specializing in situational awareness, de-escalation, evasion, and self-defense tactics. He began his career with the Indiana Capitol Police before joining the Crown Point Police Department in 2008, where his passion for training and mentoring officers quickly became central to his service.

Throughout his career, Sergeant Ballas has completed and instructed thousands of hours of advanced training, including de-escalation tactics, frontline supervision, street crimes, interview and interrogation, active shooter response, and physical survival tactics. He is a certified Field Training Officer and in 2021 earned his Master Instructor Certification in the MARTAC Training Concepts, tactical defense training program.

With a lifelong background in wrestling, MMA, boxing, and physical fitness, defensive tactics have always been at the core of his professional and personal life. His teaching style emphasizes real-world application, ensuring participants gain both the knowledge and confidence to recognize threats, respond effectively, and protect themselves and others.
